Almost 60 years and Baby just won't leave home
Family Happy
Above is the only vintage photo I have of me with the family MGA. It was taken around 1964.
This car has been in the family since new, and I was privileged to be the first of the four brothers to ride in the car with my dad. He took me to Glendale in September of 1959, where a friend of his was storing it in his garage after securing it from the dealer that sold it, Johnny Lail in Glendale.
I still have the original warranty and other papers that came with the car. I kept the license plates that came with the car when new, and have reunited them via the State of California's Year of Manufacture license plate program.

Makin' Baby!
David Creer and his Frogeye Sprite
Sometimes baby has to be built from the ground up!
This very early Sprite, serial no. AN5L1460 has the 9 "lift a dot" snaps at the top of the windscreen for securing the hood. There were a few hundred built with these snaps before going to the single long clip along the top of the windscreen used on the later Sprites and Midgets for 20 years.
This car is Primrose Yellow, which was discontinued in February of 1959. As an additional note, seats had yellow piping to match this colour. This was not done for any other colour.
The originality ends as it is getting a 1275 and front disc brakes. He still has the original equipment. (not numbers matching though.)
He is hopeful it will be ready for the road soon, but doing it right seems to take an awful long time to do.
When I asked Dave if he had a name picked out, he replied,"I haven't given it a name yet. That would involve assigning a gender, and I believe it's too early to do that ;) What do you think of "Storm"?"
I threw back "Lil Storm". It may stick or it may not.

Kirk Blake-Dickson and Morris the Minor
Kirk came across this Minor twice. Things did not work well the first time but improved greatly the second time.
He became the new owner of this Trafalgar Blue 1964 Morris Minor, Morris, back in April.
At present (May 2011) Morris has a slight problem. His headlights don't work. He has to leave the ball at sundown. Cinderella had 'til midnight.
Putting our heads together, mine and Kirk's, we have come up with a couple of failure points. One being the light switch, itself. Second being the connections at the voltage regulator. The dip switch is broken and stuck. It may be contributing, it may not.
I'll keep you posted!

My Mustang when I got it in late April of 1983
My good friend Dale Bain and I took the train to RM in Chatham to pick up my '67 Mustang. The train ride was cool and the drive back home was also cool. The heater did not work and it was a cold day.

Bugsy, my Sprite when I got it in July of 1998
A couple of weeks after Micro North I trailered Bugsy from Beamsville to Larry Read's place in Puslinch. There he helped me out greatly getting Bugsy ready for the road.
