2011 Mount Forest Kinsmen Car Show

The Mount Forest, Ontario Fireworks Festival has more than fireworks. There is theatre, competitions, food, music and a Main Street car show. All with free parking!!

This 1968 Rambler American Shell 4000 Prototype is owned by Seann and Carole Burgess of Markdale. This is the prototyping engineering car for the American Motors factory entries to the 1968 Shell 4000. The engineers would build this car up, flog it then fix it. In the end the improvements were added to the three Rambler Americans that ran the rally.

This car was one of the chase cars in the rally, ready to give up anything needed should any of the competiton cars needed it. None needed it and this car went on to compete in rallys for years later.
