2011 Toronto Triumph Club British Car Day, Bronte Creek Provincial Park
It was a beautiful day for late September. It was warm and sunny, very much unlike the day after it. It was a day that brought out over 1200 cars for the greatest and the last British Car Show of the season in Southern Ontario.
Enjoy the pictures!

This 1958 Austin A 35 owned by David Holmes is simply georgous.
It sat there just looking and good and drove out sounding just as good as it looked

This is the car that stole my heart this year. It is a 1934 Austin 7 Type AJ Tourer brought by owner Anne Yacyshyn from Scotland. The restoration was done by Peter Svilans.

This is a Lomax. It is what Citroen 2CVs turn into when their original body is not sustainable but their drivetrain is. The British "Kit Car" phenomenon did cross the English Channel. These bodies/kits are available for 4 wheel or 3 wheel, as this is, conversions.
Originally this was an English Market car. I don't know if it was made in Slough or not.
This is originally a 1987 223-2CV owned by Herb Arnd.

A Lotus Elan with a spare!
This 1970 Lotus Elan S4 is owned by Alisdair McNellan. It has more for a spare than most cars, of any type. It has an Austin pedal car, with working lights.
I guess the idea is to have junior pedal off to the nearest gas station to bring back a gallon (4.55 litres) of gas when needed. :-)

A Very Special Presentation
Elva Allen has been the editor of the Oily Rag since the beginning of the club 16 1/2 years ago. That is one every two months for 100 issues. A great accomplishment for any car club, let alone for a single person in a a car club.
She has taken the Oily Rag from a basic text only publication to a full colour magazine loaded with pictures from many contributers throughout the club. And then taking the Oily electronic.
She has done her best gathering stories, organizing them, then printing and distribution of the Oily. A very early tool was the spongy stamp wetter thingy. Even in the early days there were far too many stamps to lick.
This was the club presentation to her for all of her hard work. It was given with much appreciation and love. We all wish her well with her future endeavours.
